Make the data trapped in documents usable again - without charging for it, and without keeping the documents.
Useful by default
A tool should do its job on the first try, with no signup wall, no tutorial, and no upsell interrupting the thing you came to do. Drop a file, get a spreadsheet.
Privacy as an architectural choice
Privacy claims are easy to write and hard to verify. We would rather make them structurally true: no accounts means no credential database to breach, and immediate deletion means there is no archive of financial documents to steal in the first place.
Honest about limits
Optical character recognition on a photograph of a printed page is genuinely hard, and it sometimes gets things wrong. We would rather say so, explain what affects quality, and flag pages that needed guesswork, than claim perfect accuracy and let you discover otherwise inside a reconciliation.
Accessible to everyone
Free means free - not a trial. The people who most need to digitise a stack of statements are often the least able to pay a monthly subscription for the privilege.
